Fixed Term Contract, PhD Internship:
Part Time - 9 Hours per Week


Contract Length: 12 Months, with the possibility of extension - starting as soon as possible

The Opportunity:


We are looking for a PhD Publications Support Intern to support the research and knowledge dissemination work of Childlight - Global Child Safety Institute.

Childlight is funded by the Human Dignity Foundation and takes a data driven, evidence-based approach to understanding the prevalence and nature of child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) across the globe.

It aims to translate this research into sustainable action that safeguards children.

The intern will support Childlight researchers to prepare articles for publication in academic journals including assistance in creating reference lists, manuscript formatting, creating supplementary materials for publications and help with screening and data extraction for systematic reviews as well as writing up journal articles.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Currently enrolled as a PhD student in the social sciences or other related discipline at the UoE
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies
  • Excellent academic writing skills in English
  • Excellent computer skills using Word, Excel etc
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
