We have an opportunity for a competent
Mechanical Assembler to join an award-winning family business based in
Ashton-under-Lyne, supported by over a century of industry experience.


What's on offer?
- £24,000 - £28,000 per annum

  • Flexible working hours
  • Core working hours: 10am 4pm Monday

What will you be doing as a Mechanical Assembler?

  • Responsible for the daytoday assembly of mechanical machinery
  • Monitoring any issues to ensure production targets and quality standards are met
  • Providing effective support to the Fitting team to ensure that all processes are carried out
  • Inspecting all inhouse components for assembly, bought in components to ensure that they fully comply with the required specification and quality
  • Positioning, aligning and fitting components to form complete units or subunits, following engineering drawings and layout specifications

What do you need?

  • Competency & efficiency at mechanical assembly and the use of hand tools and machinery
  • The ability to understand engineering drawings
  • Thorough approach to work; high attention to details
