This position is required in order to continue with full trade compliance activities within the business to maintain the demand and export compliance of the company.


  • Actively engage with all aspects of the business to ensure most efficient compliance regimes ensuring company compliance to International UK & EU Export Control Regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and HMRC Import regulations
  • Supported by the Trade officer (direct report) manage the daytoday activities including Daily Block Report circulation and ensuring Export/Adhoc invoices approvals are accurate and compliant to regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring new starters and the business maintain export compliance
  • Ensuring effective and compliant solutions can be deployed to meet business needs
  • Coordinate the business internal export audit processes and implement improvement actions to optimise performance as directed by the Trade Compliance Manager
  • Support the Trade Compliance Manager as required

Job requirements:


  • Must be well organised, good at record keeping
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access plus the aptitude to learn how to use various inhouse business systems quickly
  • Excellent communication skills and able to interface well with fellow employees across the business as well as with customs brokers, forwarders and suppliers
  • Detailed knowledge and proven experience with Import & Export compliance regulations (including HMRC) as well as ITAR & EAR
  • Is able to work well under pressure
  • Excellent Analytical Skills
  • Ability to lead and mentor direct report
  • At least 2 years working in a Trade Compliance environment
  • Knowledge of aerospace and manufacturing
  • Experience of SAP/GTS
