**Business Development Manager - Software for Professional Sports Clubs
Basic salary £35,000 - £40,000 (DOE) + uncapped OTE + benefits

Remote location, work from home**My client is a market leading software company who provide solutions for professional sports clubs for off pitch commercial success.

They are looking for someone to join their team to generate new name business from a niche market where their reputation andproducts are already known and respected.

You'll also look to upsell additional solutions into some existing customers.

We're looking for someone either with experience selling software solutions (Saas) into the commercial end users or someone who has soldsomething else into professional sports clubs.

The Role:


  • Selling software to manage commercial sales activity for merchandise and off pitch products, both online and onsite retail.
  • You will be working with Premier League football, Scottish Premiership, Rugby League clubs plus more in this exciting role
  • The Business Development Manager is responsible for fostering and developing strong relationships with prospect companies with the key aim of closing sales. The focus will be on providing a consultative sales approach and developing a pipeline of new businessopportunities from both provided and independently sourced leads. This is a potential customer base which is entirely known to the business with a lot of data available and you'll work closely with marketing to maximise leads and enquiries generated by them.
  • Lead times for entirely new business can be 68 months so building a strong pipeline is key to success in the role. There will also be potential for shorter lead time business maximising potential with existing clients.
  • You'll be home based, working nationally, and longer term there may also be international opportunities.

The Person:


  • We're looking for someone who can build great relationships with the professional sports sector. You'll have great communication skills and an engaging personality as well as the ability to consultatively sell to senior level decision makers.
  • Ideally you'll have experience either selling software into a commercial B2B market or have sold something else into sports clubs rather than for a club itself.
  • You'll have strong new business skills and understand how to build and manage a sales pipeline.
  • Clients could be based anywhere in the UK and while you'll be able to build initial contact over the phone and through Teams, there will be travel involved and sometimes the need to stay away from home
  • We're ultimately looking for a team player who can help promote the brand and build on an already market leading reputation in the industry.

The Package:


  • A basic salary between £35,000 and £40,000 is offered depending on experience
  • There is an uncapped OTE based on a % of revenue generated
