EXCITING BAND 6 SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITY - FRIARY HOSPITAL RICHMOND.

An exciting position has become available on our brand new refurbished 18 bed rehabilitation ward.

Are you a dynamic inspirational nurse looking for that new challenge in leadership working within family friendly environment in the heart of North Yorkshire?


You may not be aware but we closed the doors in our beautiful listed building in the heart of Richmond town, temporarily, for 6 months to complete a much needed refurbishment.

We are very excited about reopening in January 2023.

Our patients come from the North Yorkshire area & we offer a unique service as we rehabilitate patients to be able to either go home or to a step-down facility.

Our 18 beds are always busy.

Although small, we deliver high quality, patient centred care and are a very proud of our caring well established team.

Would you like to become part of the exciting new leadership team, taking our team to even higher standards & bringing fresh innovative ideas aswell as integrating withing our family?

Supporting the Senior team whilst guiding junior Nurses & Students on a day to day basis.


Be an advocate for undertaking patient audits, supervision of other staff, recognising & implementing high quality, safe Nursing care to patients & their families.


South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills.

You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers.


This programme aims to:

  • Explore leadership within the NHS
  • Promote Trust Values and Behaviours
  • Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills
  • Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role


After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
