Salary - The current salary scale for this post is
£23,036 - £23,574 per annum, depending on qualifications. (The maximum job rate potential is
£25,189 which is performance related).

Hours - 38 hours per week

Location - Cambridgeshire & Peterborough

This role will work in our Staying Close Staying Connected project, Staying Close Staying Connected, one of eight pilot models for leaving care being funded by the Department of Education.

For children in care, turning 18 can mean finding themselves on a cliff-edge of support. This service is truly leading the way nationally in terms of leaving care provision.

About the role:

As a Housing Worker at Break, you'll be fundamental in making sure that the house that young care leavers move onto feels like their home and that they are supported to live independently in the community.

No two days will be the same, and you'll be expected to build strong relationships with the young people in the houses you oversee, helping and encouraging them in achieving their goals and aspirations.

Success in the role would see you support young people to become financially savvy such as by paying bills on time, as well as encouraging them to take an active part in keeping the service and houses well-presented and maintained.

You'll be self-motivated, good at problem-solving and have a professional, caring and calm approach.
