Innovate Trust are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic person to lead the next phase of our Secret Garden project.

The project will sit within the Skills and Wellbeing Department which currently incorporates Take Charge, Porthkerry Park Project, Boosting Nature, Insight into Climate Action and Insight Investigators.

The department provides a diverse range of activities and training opportunities for Innovate Trust tenants as well as people with additional learning needs in the wider community.

As a Project Officer you will support adults with learning disabilities to continue developing Ysgubor Fawr, a garden at St Fagans museum.

You will also support individuals to research the history of Ysgubor Fawr cottage and garden through St Fagans' own archives and the Glamorgan Archives.

This research will be brought together into an exhibition for the public, with exhibition materials designed by project participants.

You should expect to work closely with project participants, your fellow Project Officers in the Skills & Wellbeing department and St Fagans National Museum of History.

Be committed to providing meaningful opportunities for people with learning disabilities and other additional needs.
Have some gardening knowledge and an ability to plan seasonal planting.
Have knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Zoom and be willing to embrace digital technology to achieve the aims and objectives of the project.

An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check is required for the role.

Job Types:
Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 7 months

Salary:
£22,271.65-£26,913.28 per year
