The J&J UK Medical business has a total sales value of ~$650m and sales team of ~450, split across 23 platforms.

The
Business Operations & Compliance Team is an integral part of the Commercial Excellence Team driving a leading class internal and external customer experience, with customer mantra being 'easy to do business with'.


Purpose of the role
To work within the UK/IRE Business Operations and Compliance Function acting as a compliance Specialist across the assigned business unit to:

  • Act as the first point of contact for the designated business unit for all HCC related queries
  • Provide HCC advice and guidance to ensure that all activities take place compliantly in line with HCBI and FCPA requirements
  • Provide administrative support for HCP/GO related activities for the sales force, marketing and commercial team
  • Ensure payments are processed in a timely manner and in line with the P2P process.
The role will be to ensure you are the primary business partner for all HCC related advice and guidance.

You will also undertake related administrative tasks across UK/IRE Commercial Function including supporting the Health Care Compliance (HCC) team to review, approve and reconcile all requests in scope for HCC approval.

Additionally, general administrative and meeting support to the sales, marketing and commercial teams will be required.

The role will also involve raising Purchase Orders and processing payments in line with internal policies to ensure that the business follow the P2P process.


Principal Accountabilities:


  • Operate within UK/IRE HCC policies and procedures
  • Engage with and support the business as a trusted compliance contact and offer necessary advice, support and guidance on all HCP/GO related activities prior to the activity going ahead
  • Process and review all HCC related request via the online approvals tool (HCC life)
  • Approve HCP/ GO Faculty contracts using a legally approved template
  • Ensure post event documentation is provided in line with audit requirements
- 'Super user' within the HCC on-line approvals system (HCC life)

  • Deliver Compliance training and system support on HCC approvals system to staff as required
  • Deliver key HCC updates to the Business quarterly
  • Report and escalate issues to the Business Compliance Manager as necessary
  • Manage and support franchise Ed Grant and Donations requests
  • Booking of HCP/GO travel and accommodation in line with company policy
  • Process and submit accurate payments in a timely manner
- 'Super User' within the J& J Purchase Ordering Systems (eMarket Place / ARIBA / SAP / Cornerstone)

  • Ensure POs are raised and process managed from end to end in a timely manner
  • Liaising with appropriate business partners to ensure POs are routed to the correct cost centre and approval flows are setup correctly
  • Liaise with ARIBA site coordinator and Global Services Team as necessary to identify and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Enhance the Business Compliance function by accepting ownership for being customer centric and solutions orientated
  • Support testing, monitoring and auditing of the HCC and finance programmes
  • Establish work procedures and processes that support company and departmental standards, procedures and strategic directives
