Responsibilities:
Design Conceptualization:
Develop creative and sustainable design concepts for workwear and menswear accessories that align with the brand's sustainability goals and cater to the needs of the modern professional.
Material Sourcing:
Research and identify sustainable and ethical materials suitable for workwear and accessories, considering factors such as durability, comfort, and environmental impact.
Prototyping and Sampling:
Create prototypes and samples to test design concepts, ensuring that the final products meet quality standards, sustainability criteria, and user requirements.
Trend Analysis:
Stay updated on the latest trends in sustainable fashion, workwear, and accessories, integrating relevant elements into the design process while maintaining the brand's unique aesthetic and eco-friendly focus.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, marketing, and sustainability, to ensure a cohesive approach to product development and alignment with the brand's values and vision.
Sustainability Integration:
Integrate sustainable practices and principles throughout the design and production process, prioritizing eco-friendly techniques, fair labor practices, and the use of recycled or upcycled materials whenever possible.
Quality Control:
Oversee the quality control process to ensure that the final products meet established standards for durability, comfort, and aesthetic appeal while adhering to sustainability and ethical guidelines.
Brand Representation:
Act as a brand ambassador, promoting the company's commitment to sustainable fashion and ethical practices in the design community and among consumers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field. Additional certifications or training in sustainable fashion design are a plus.
4-6 years of experience in fashion design, with a focus on sustainable practices and menswear design, preferably in the workwear or accessories sector.
Knowledge of sustainable materials and production processes, with a commitment to reducing the environmental impact of fashion design.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and CAD software for creating and presenting design concepts.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and convey complex design concepts to various stakeholders.
Passion for sustainable fashion and a strong drive to contribute to the development of ethical and environmentally responsible fashion practices.
