Springfields Nursing care home provides high quality Nursing and Residential care. We are a home that is recognised in the social care industry for its care provision.
We are an established and renown home in the Essex area having been recognised for our approach to care and have been recently awarded the gold standards framework for care for exceptional care practices.
The position is part time with working 9am-5pm on a Friday and 1pm-5pm on a Tuesday and Thursday. You will provide an efficient and confidential service working alongside our senior administrator.NVQ or CQF is desired for this position.
Key objectives:
Human resources
- You will create and maintain staff and resident files. You will do checks, references and assist in recruitment
- You will be responsible for the ordering of stationery, Staff uniforms and janitorial supplies.
Residents
- You will assist in the process of preadmission, admission, and discharge documents etc.
- You will monitor any enquiries for potential new residents.
- You will make sure that our orders from our office and janitorial suppliers are received and correct.
General
- You'll be the first point of contact for residents and visitors, so you'll offer friendly, welcoming and professional support.
- You'll support meetings, making sure they run smoothly and that minutes are kept.
- You'll deal with any queries efficiently.
- You will maintain good filing systems.
- You'll deal with mail, scanning, stationery, photocopying, and any other office tasks.
- You'll answer and assist on enquiries about Springfields Nursing/ Residential Home.
- You'll liaise with relatives.
- You'll assist in maintaining accurate records.
Essential:
Due to the location of the home. Own Transport is essential.
Experience of working to deadlines
Working Alone, and of part of a team.
Evidence of good written and communication skills for evidence and understanding.
Effective interpersonal skills and working with others.
Adaptability, planning and organisation.
You must be positive and flexible attitude with the desire to make a difference. The ability to plan and prioritise a workload. Professional presentation of self and within the workplace.

You'll work with the Home Manager to make sure we follow policy and procedures.
You'll stay alert to any safety hazards in the office, and you'll follow risk assessments and safe systems of work, plus manual handling and lifting procedures.
