Food and Beverage Associate Casual Part Time to join our five-star, luxurious boutique hotel.

***To Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests in room, restaurant, meeting /event and executive lounge maintaining the highest standard of guest services and impeccable manners at all times. To Set tables according to type of event and service standards. To work and have full knowledge of all Food and Beverage outlet. To prepare cocktails, hot drinks, Wine knowledge and serve food whenever necessary. To upsell drinks, food and services (e.g. afternoon tea, chef's specials, etc.)To Answer questions on menu selections, to have full knowledge of F&B packages (afternoon tea, rooms service, set menus, brunch etc.)To Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recook orders, and product availability. To Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. To Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order. To process payments, take cash, credit cards To count and reconcile your float at the end of the shift. To Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages. To Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day. To Complete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc. To be able to count stock and place order with chef whenever required. To Present physical and accurate check to guest and process payment. To deliver room service food, to work in conference and banqueting when requested, to walk around the hotel to collect trays from the floors. To accept hotel deliveries and support other departments whenever necessary. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Experience
- Experience in restaurants, conferences, cocktail bars or related professional area, ability to work late, early and evening shifts
- Account Competencies
- Fundamental competencies required for counting and maintain float, taking payment
- Basic Computer Skills
- Using basic computer hardware and software (e.g., PC, Office, MICROS, Internet browsers)
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
- Good decision making skills (empowerment)
- Strong organizational skills
- Proactive, reliable and flexible
- Able to work alone and within a team
Education or Certification
- Hospitality related degree preferred
