Description
We are looking for a Test Team Lead to join our Software Development team on a permanent basis.

We are looking for someone with proven and significant experience leading a team within a testing environment.

This is a fast-paced environment, so it is essential that you are solutions orientated with line manager responsibility experience.

Purpose of the role:


The Test Team Leader will be responsible for shaping and managing the testing activity for the ControlWorks Project testing leading a small team.

They will work closely with the Solution Assurance Director and other Senior Development Managers to define and implement best practise for small teams as required for each software release.

They have accountability for ensuring that the quality of the product is at the right level before a release.

Working with the Solution Assurance Director, the Test Team Leader will play an active part in defining the overall testing approach used in the teams and implementing this successfully to deliver high quality solutions.

The Test Team Leader will need to work closely with the Development team to maintain effective processes and progress through the project lifecycle.

Adapting the test approach based on specific customer requirements is important.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain overall test framework
  • Define and maintain Release Testing strategy
  • Manage testing throughout the SDLC, delivering within targeted milestones with mínimal issues found by customers in production
  • Manage and resolve test issues and blockers
  • Ensure appropriate testing coverage
  • Ensure consistency within testing process across product suite
  • Hands on testing required
  • Proficient in test methodology, practises and processes
  • Competent leadership skills with experience leading test teams in a prior role
  • Demonstrable understanding of software architecture and construction
  • Ability to work at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong Quality and Customer focus
  • Good written and oral communication skills
