Description
We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic, and dynamic administrators to join our friendly team, within the Surgical Division.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with consultants, nurses, secretaries, and managers; communicating daily with patients and or care givers.

Forming close working relationships with all specialties such as General Surgery, Breast etc.

This is role is primarily responsible for the management of the admission of elective patients to the hospital and to participate in the operational management of the hospitals admitted pathway and waiting lists.

Understanding the sensitivity of the nature of work they're carrying out and dealing with patient matters in the strictest of confidence.


There has never been a more exciting time to join West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Major redevelopment works are due for completion by 2025 or soon after.

These will be most dramatic at Watford General Hospital where up to 90% of buildings will be new.

The post holder will be expected to support all aspects of the management of the waiting lists.

Assist in maintaining accurate waiting lists, as well as adding and removal of patients in line with the Trust's Waiting List Policy.

The post holder will be expected to meet directly and frequently with the allocated specialty team to ensure theatre lists volume and missed cases are corrected thus ensuring theatre capacity utilisation is maximised efficiently.
