Description
As a Youth Worker, you will play a key role in the delivery of our Holiday Activities and Food Programme, engaging children and young people in a range of activities designed to inspire, challenge, and support them.
You will work alongside our experienced Youth Lead and other staff to provide a high standard of care, support, and mentorship to young people, helping them to achieve their goals and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Youth Lead and other staff in the delivery of activities and programmes for children and young people
- Building and maintaining relationships with service users, parents, and other stakeholders
- Engaging children and young people in activities and programmes designed to inspire, challenge, and support them
- Providing mentorship, guidance, and support to young people as needed
- Ensuring a safe and supportive environment for children and young people to participate in activities
- Working collaboratively with other staff and partners to achieve project goals and objectives
Qualifications & Skills:
- Passion for supporting children and young people
- Strong relationshipbuilding skills
- Handson experience working with children and young people in the Youth and Community Sector
- Ability to engage and motivate young people to participate in activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and problemsolving skills
This is a temporary opportunity to work during the Easter Half Term Holiday, and is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to gain hands-on experience working in the Youth and Community Sector.
Job Types:
Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 2 weeks
Salary:
£7.49-£10.50 per hour
