Job overview:


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CAMHS Family Therapist Band 8A to join our organisation in the Carrick CAMHS team.

This community role will give you the opportunity to work within our locality CAMHS service.


It is an exciting time to be joining Cornwall CAMHS as there has been large scale investment in the local services.

Cornwall is leading the way on a ground-breaking Clinical Associate Psychology (CAP) service, the first of its kind anywhere in England and Wales with a total of 30 new posts.

There has also been major investment in developing care pathways for CAMHS, extra investment in Psychologist posts and the roll-out of the I-thrive model and a new County wide Crisis team.


We strive to offer the best evidenced based Family therapy treatment we can and are looking for imaginative and playful individuals that are motivated by the opportunities and challenges of developing what we hope will be a gold standard service.


Main duties of the job:


In order to achieve a gold standard service, we recognise the importance of supporting our staff in building and feeling a part of a healthy, well-functioning team and service.


We are striving for cutting edge assessment and treatment within Family therapy which involved working in highly emotive and distressing family situations.


We are therefore looking for individuals that are good under pressure; place high worth in team-based working and with an unrelenting passion and dedication for working with young people and their families.


Reflective practice, continual learning and clinical supervision are an essential and integral part of our service, and you will be expected and encouraged to attend and contribute to these.
