Overall Purpose of the Job:


To deliver operational, technical and market expertise in the designated product line whilst assisting with the introduction of new products and services within the area of responsibility.


Key Activities and Accountabilities:


  • Provide a global link between Operations, Business Development, Engineering and product line technical groups.
  • Provides product technical support and expertise to internal and external customers.
  • Understands and can explain product line equipment processes and procedures
  • Ensure that operational standards for the Product Line are effectively communicated and adhered to.
  • Provide job planning engineering support to the regions and end customers as required
  • Provide leadership for Global Flying Squad of product specialists
  • Support development plans for regionalisation of the product line
  • Working across the global product line to support standalone Pumping Services, CoilHose and Annulus Intervention
  • May participate in tests, pilots or trials of current or new products or equipment to assess suitability.
  • Provide technical input to contracts/tenders as required.
  • Assists with introduction of new products and services based on firsthand knowledge of product line technology and customer needs.
  • May be involved in developing product specific sales plans for area of responsibility.
  • Support operations to track product line assets as necessary.
  • Contribute to performance and competency assessment of Product Line employees as required.
  • May deputise for Product Line Manager in area of responsibility.
  • Actively adhere to the Code of Conduct and Anti-Bribery policies, procedures and processes to ensure the highest ethical standards are maintained and exposure to liability or risk to Expro's reputation is minimised. Provide leadership in all ethical issues; ensure employees are aware of Expro's compliance requirements and feel able to report possible violations or conflicts of interest.
  • Actively adhere to and ensure compliance with applicable Quality policies, procedures, processes & systems. Take an active part in quality improvement processes. Act on reported deficiencies and approve deviations from standard procedures as appropriate.
  • Ensure that employees adhere to and comply with all applicable Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and processes. Provide leadership in HSE; encourage employees to take responsibility and be accountable for their own and others' safety and provide an environment where they feel authorised to stop any unsafe job. Ensure that all incidents and nonconformances are reported in line with the appropriate procedures and deadlines; ensure that all incidents are investigated and corrective actions raised as required; where appropriate, participates in incident investigations.
  • Supervise, mentor and coach direct reports and ensure completion of their Employee Development Plans. Where applicable, ensure that training and competency programs are in place to facilitate the mentoring of subordinates through the competency system. Conduct competency assessments when required.

Job Knowledge and Qualifications:


  • 8+ years technical experience in designated product line.
  • Sound commercial knowledge and an understanding of financial principles.
  • Strong Operations, HSEQ, Sales and/or Marketing experience
