Gleeson Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-known, dynamic business in Birmingham City Centre, to recruit an Accounts Payable Manager.

Reporting into the Head of the department, you will be responsible for the process and control of PurchaseLedger function, including supervising a team As part of your role, you will ensure timely and accurate processing, overseeing the payment of purchase invoices and related duties.

We are looking for a driven leader, to manage, develop and motivate the team.

You will ensure purchase ledger controls are operating effectively and promote continuous process improvement, improving use of automation and system controls.

You will developand produce timely management information, monitoring productivity of team members and delivering KPIs. This is a great opportunity to support related project implementations.

To be considered, you will be an experienced manager with a proven track-record in purchase ledger or a similar operational finance function, with experience in large, high volume transactions.

We are looking for a problem solver, who is able to lead anddirect the team, with a hands-on approach and a confident and professional approach to challenging situations.

Duties include:

Design and implement a team structure to meet the demands of the business
Ensuring clear SLAs and business responses
Making sure all vendors are paid according to terms
Engage, motivate and develop the team
Managing stakeholder relationships
Ensuring compliance with legislation and internal controls
Ensuring effective processing of employee expenses
Working with the team to ensure process are followed in a timely manner
