Description
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using Sage 50 accounting software

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
  • Monthly bank payment schedule (approx. 50 payments)
  • Daily adhoc payment processing
  • Prepare weekly cashflow summary report
  • Complete weekly bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of WIP monthly
  • Prepare monthly payroll for submission to external provider
  • Manage the outsourced payroll service, compensation and benefits, including Pension Auto Enrolment, healthcare, bike to work scheme
  • Effectively managing the smooth running of the office. Assist team with various general administrative duties
  • Assistance with some procurement
  • Respond to queries and issues arising in a timely and professional manner
Act as front of house, monitor & direct all client enquiries

Continually reviewing best practice across the business and implementing new procedure where necessary


Skills Required:


  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
  • Proficient in using Sage accounting software
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with solid oral and written communication capabilities
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to act independently and prioritise
  • Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent IT skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel etc.
  • Persuasive and diplomatic personality.
  • Experience within a similar role is essential

Pay:
£28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
