Benfield House is the team base for a diverse number of services including the Personality Disorder Hub Team, Northern Region Gender Dysphoria Service and Specialist Psychological Therapies.

The successful applicant will work in the reception, meeting and greeting patients and visitors to the Centre from a diverse community.

You should currently hold the required level of qualifications, as outlined in the Essential Criteria of the Personal Specification. If you do not meet this criteria you may not be shortlisted.

The main duties of the role will be:
Reception duties i.e. greeting all patient, carers and visitors to the service.

Creating appointment letters in line with service procedures.

Processing internal/external mail.

Scanning, uploading, photocopying and filing documentation.

Have a good general level of education including a pass in Maths and English.


Have knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, particularly Outlook and Word as they will be using these on a daily basis.


Be flexible, show initiative, able to multi task and be adaptable to the needs of the role, team and service.

Ideally have experience of working within an administrative role or setting.


Be able to demonstrate a sensitive, non-judgmental approach to the client group and have an understanding of confidentiality and data protection regulations.

Have good planning and organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively in a pleasant and approachable manner.


Be confident and motivated to work on their own with constant support and contact with the larger admin team based at Newcastle.


The post holder will also undertake additional duties such as ordering supplies, requesting repairs and updating rotas and duty sheets.
