We have hours available for a Flexible Temporary Worker.

The assignment is for a Banksman, working at the Cruise liner service base in Invergordon, IV18.**
On average hours per week. Various Day and weekend shifts depending on the cruise ship schedules. Standard hours 06.00 am pm.

This is a temporary assignment starting in May until November 2023.

Pay rate:
£10.90 per hour.
Full training provided if you don't currently have a Banksman ticket.**
This allows you to:
  • Full PAYE status (still allows Tax Credits/SSP etc)
  • Remain eligible for SSP/SMP
  • Weekly pay every Friday
  • Holiday pay
  • Job flexibility allowing you to be registered with more than one company

Person specification:

We are seeking a reliable and responsible individual to join our team as a Banksman.

As a Banksman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe movement of vehicles, equipment, and pedestrians within our banked areas.


Your primary responsibility will be to communicate effectively with drivers and provide clear and concise instructions to ensure safe operations.


Role Responsibility:

Traffic Management: Direct and control the movement of vehicles and equipment in designated areas, ensuring the safety of pedestrians and other vehicles.

Vehicle Guidance: Guide drivers with hand signals, radio communication, or other designated methods to assist them in maneuvering vehicles safely.

Safety Checks: Conduct routine checks of the work area to identify potential hazards and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.

Communication: Establish clear communication with drivers and operators to provide necessary instructions and information regarding the movement of vehicles and equipment.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of vehicles, equipment, and personnel entering and leaving the banked areas.

Equipment Coordination: Coordinate the movement of large or complex equipment, ensuring proper clearances and adherence to safety protocols.

Emergency Response: Act swiftly and responsibly in case of emergencies, providing guidance to drivers and assisting with evacuations if necessary.

Report Incidents: Report any accidents, near misses, or safety concerns promptly to the relevant authorities and ensure that proper documentation is completed.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards at all times.


Requirements:


  • Full training and uniform will be provided
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal.
  • Strong ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards.
  • Physical fitness to stand and walk for extended periods and work in varying weather conditions
You will receive a contract of employment from your employer separately.

You will receive your pay weekly on a Friday from Brooklands PM (PSP) Payroll Services Provider.


You will not be working for Kingdom Service Group directly, although will have the opportunity to request your temporary agreement to be transferred to a Kingdom Contract in the future.
