An exciting opportunity has arisen within Marshall as a part-time Flight Service Coordinator bank staff.


The Flight Service Coordinator is responsible for the provision of high standards of customer service of flights in and out of Cambridge.

As the face of the company, this role requires a high level of customer service skills.

Greeting customers as they walk in the door, so it is essential to be of a friendly with a professional appearance.

The appearance of the FBO is of upmost importance to ensure exceptional standards are adhered to, therefore a good attention for detail is key and to keep the FBO clean and tidy throughout the day.

A high sense of professionalism is required, in addition to a good phone manner and excellent organisational skills. To deliver friendly, efficient customer service and to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process passengers/staff and crew through a secure area as regulated by NASP controlled flights full aviation security trained operative
  • Submit mandatory immigration and customs forms
  • Check in and boarding duties for regular flight schedules and ad hoc flights
  • Provide follow me services (when necessary)
  • Marshalling and dispatching of aircraft (when necessary)
  • Chocking of the Aircraft (when necessary)
  • Adhere to security procedures and carry out security related duties as necessary, including security screening of passengers, staff, and crew.
  • Assist with HBR process to meet regulated requirements, including movement of baggage and other items.
  • Plan and coordinate flights in cooperation with responsible airport departments
  • Organise fuel, catering, transportation, aircraft services, parking, hangarage, loading of cabin and inflight services
  • Escort passengers, crew, and any other vehicles / persons on the airfield
  • Arrange hotel, limousine, and taxi reservations
  • Process, respond to queries and amend handling requests (ensuring all charges are correct on handling orders)
  • Meet and greet passengers and crew
  • Provide services for aircraft requested by crew
  • Provide transport for passengers and crew
  • Provide weather, NOTAMs and documents for flight crew
  • Update FBO computer system to ensure correct billing to customers
  • Charge via cash or credit card according to the handling orders
  • Prepare and replenish the lounge and conference room
  • Daily administration duties
  • Cover the Reception desk as required
  • Wholesale shopping to replenish stock for the lounge and conference room
  • Keep the FBO areas (including washrooms) clean and tidy to meet standards set
  • Any other ad hoc projects and tasks as required by your line Manager
  • Liaise externally with all passengers, crew, service providers and Airport authorities
  • Liaise with all departments within Marshall
Person Specification

  • Driving licence Experience
  • Experience in working in a customer service environment, ideally within aviation
