Band 7 Job description to be adhered to.

Band 6 to Band 7 Developmental role


You will receive dedicated training and a structured competency plan, supported by senior dietitians, whilst transitioning from Band 6 to Band 7 competencies.

Band 6 Job description to be adhered to whilst completing competencies during the developmental period. Once all competencies have been achieved, Band 7 Job description should be adhered to.


Expected Time period:


You will cover a dedicated caseload of HEF and undernutrition patients in their own homes & nursing homes across Brighton & Hove.


You should have a good range of general and acute/community experience at Band 6 level which must include complex nutrition support & clinical reasoning experience.


As an integral member of the multidisciplinary team, you will demonstrate a high level of expertise within the specialist area of community dietetics for patients requiring home enteral feeds or domiciliary visits for undernutrition.


You will play a key role in the nutritional management of this patient group and will provide specialist advice, education and support to patients, carers and other health professionals.


You will actively be involved in the trust's clinical governance programme and quality framework agenda by taking lead responsibility for ensuring continuing professional development, audit and research activities within this specialist area.

A hybrid working approach is in place: a combination of remote & office based working at Royal Sussex County Hospital.
