Responsibility:
- To organise and supervise the work of the Catering Department
- To exercise due diligence regarding food safety and hygiene and ensure all kitchen staff understand their responsibility in this respect
- To devise and maintain rotational menus to provide choice and nutritional requirements for all service users to agreed budgetary level and the Company Catering Quality Procedure
- To prepare and ensure meals are presented and delivered to service user's in an appetising manner following the approved menu cycle
- To be responsible for the preparation and presentation of service user's, visitors and staff meals as required
- To assess output, quality and attractiveness of food, in order to maintain an excellent standard of service, and maintain service user contact to obtain their comments and requests
- To report promptly all complaints however minor concerning the catering services or other matters to the Manager
- To ensure that all special dietary needs and preferences are catered for whenever necessary and liaise with the Manager regarding special diets
- To ensure that proper standards of cleanliness are maintained and hygiene regulations are observed at all times
