Calderdale's Homelessness Service strives to support people who face homelessness by providing advice, accommodation, and support to enable families, singles and young people to be supported to find more suitable longer-term accommodation.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Housing Support Worker to coordinate and supervise a small team.

You will provide a high quality operational frontline service to a number of clients who are at risk of homelessness.

You will also supervise the Housing Support Workers and the Caretaker/Handyperson including case allocation and monitoring.

The role will include deputising for the Temporary Accommodation Team Manager in all aspects of his/her work.


You will need to have a Level 3 qualification, equivalent to 2 A-Levels, in a relevant area of work; Youth Work, Social Care, Housing, Criminal Justice, or demonstrable experience.

Applicants to posts that are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act will require a DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed.
