Our Settlements Team are responsible for the settlement of our merchant and card scheme transactions.

The Settlements Team reconcile the data of both domestic and multi-currency transactions that merchants process against the data received from the card schemes.

The team ensure that financial data is posted, verified and reconciled against what we are expecting to receive.

What you will be doing

As a Settlements Controller you will complete account and journal postings, you will help to identify any anomalies and to truly understand the cause.

Your team will look to you to support them to deliver within tight deadlines in a challenging environment.

As part of a busy team, you will prioritise workload to ensure SLA's are met and continually look at ways of identifying efficiencies in processes.- Reconciling scheme processing against data files submitted by our customers.

Correcting rejected transactions to ensure the impact to our customers, their cardholders, and ourselves is minimised.
Resolving of queries raised by our internal and external stakeholders within SLA's
Producing management information and statistics based on our daily output.
Liaising with internal and external teams to ensure all requested payments and transfers have been completed
Continually look for ways of improving processes, providing potential solutions and following through to implementation to deliver efficiencies

What you bring:

High level of analytical skills
Advanced working knowledge of Excel
A passion for attention to detail and getting it right first time
Able to prioritise and deliver to deadlines
Able to manage multiple queries at one time
Ability to look beyond the numbers to identify issues, anomalies and understand root cause
Adaptable to changing priorities and requests

Added bonus if you have:

Experience of payment/banking systems
Payments, acquiring or finance industry experience
