Role:


We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a drive to establish a career in engineering/ manufacturing to join our team by taking up the opportunity of a Sheet Metal Apprenticeship.

You will ultimately be responsible for working/fabricating sensitive aerospace and nuclear components in line with the Daily Department Plans.


The Apprenticeship we provide is designed to give you the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to specialise within a particular area.

The Apprenticeship will potentially lead into further employment with us.


For the duration of the Apprenticeship, you will spend your time gaining practical experience and developing your knowledge, along with obtaining formal qualifications.


A plan will be put in place in order to ensure your Apprenticeship incorporates as many departments within the business to allow you the chance to learn how the whole company works and interacts with each other.

This will provide you with the knowledge to see how everyone at CW Fletcher has a part to play in providing a service we provide ourselves on, to our customers.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Sheet metal bending and shaping operate the CNC Press Brake to produce complex shapes in sheet metal by bending and pressing
  • Fabrication and welding
  • Working from engineering drawings
  • Verification conformance of finished work piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools as necessary
  • Environment Health and Safety training
  • Continuous Improvement
