Job description:

Now is an exciting time to join the Department of Business and Trade's (DBT's) growing Cyber Security team.

You (as the Cyber Security Risk Management Associate - Culture and Awareness Specialist) and the soon to be recruited Culture and Awareness Lead will form the Culture and awareness capability within the Cyber Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) team who are responsible for cyber risk identification and management, maintaining assurance and developing policy for DBTs information systems and processes.

This new capability will develop the running of cyber security training for DBT, building understanding of secure ways of operating and managing, how to comply with policies and standards, and tow audit management and responses easier.


You will have strong collaboration skills to work with other parts of the cyber team as well as internal and external stakeholders to raise Cyber Security Awareness within DBT.

You will take the initiative to plan and lead various security campaigns, presentations, and trainings. You will ensure Cyber presence on the Intranet provides up to date Best Practices and Cyber knowledge. You will have a passion to translate and pass on knowledge in fun and exciting ways.

You will work with the wider cyber team to understand the latest cyber threats and trends and create new learning approaches to ensure our users are aware of these.

You will be an instrumental part of the wider cyber security team with the goal of giving our users up to date knowledge and skills to stay safe whilst operating with corporate materials.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Culture and Awareness Lead to implement the Government and DBTs Cyber security strategy and GRCs vision for cyber security awareness.
  • Contribute to raising awareness within DBT by conducting various campaigns (including assisting with phishing campaigns).
  • Responsible for creating, leading, delivering, and owning content (such as meetings, presentations, training, etc) on relevant cyber topics incorporating DBT related intelligence as appropriate.
  • Create and manage a cyber presence on DBT's Intranet that provides up to date cyber knowledge and best practices for all users.
  • Collaborate with DBT's Security team, and across government to improve the maturity of DBT.
  • Support the Cyber Risk Leads to conduct Cyber Security related risk assessments to follow DBT's Information Risk Assurance Process (IRAP).
  • Other Cyber and Information Security tasks and training as required.
