The role

1:1 Teaching Assistant in Secondary. 37.5 hours per week (8.00am to 4.00pm, Mon-Fri) Term time plus training days**As a Teaching Assistant at Kettering Buccleuch Academy, you will work closely with the classroom teacher, providing directed support and supervision to one specific child with Special Educational Needs.


The aim of your support and guidance will be to enable that child to access the curriculum and to facilitate full inclusion into school life, supporting them to learn as independently as possible and to develop to their full potential.


About You


You should have a quiet and encouraging manner with the ability to remain calm in difficult situations, along with excellent verbal communication skills and an awareness of the importance of inclusion for children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
