The Exciting Role
A new and exciting opportunity has become available for a English Trainer Assessor for functional Skills. This is within our Training and Apprenticeships Team on a permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.


What You Will Be Doing:


  • Deliver all elements of the Functional Skills qualifications including: training, mentoring, learner reviews, timely feedback and assessment
  • Deal with apprenticeship recruitment and enrolments
  • Conduct initial assessment of student needs
  • Maintain accurate apprenticeship records, plan sessions, upload and mark learner work giving feedback using our eportfolio
  • Identify and facilitate the employers of apprenticeships in order to ensure that both apprenticeship and employer needs are met

What We Are Looking For:


  • 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
  • Recognised teaching qualification (or a willingness to achieve one within the first 3 years of appointment)
