We are looking for a full time Nursery Assistant Apprentice
If you have a passion for childcare & are interested in earning money while you learn, we would like to meet you.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Support the managers and other staff in the daily running of the nursery
- Help plan, organize, supervise, and carry out an interesting and stimulating range of activities, taking into account the ages and abilities of the children
- Take an active part in storytelling, songs and rhymes, music and movement, and outside activities
- Attend training days as required
- Make parents feel at ease and welcome in the nursery
- Help supervise children at mealtimes and rest times
- Ensure that there is no discrimination in the nursery due to disability, race, or religion
- Encourage children from ethnic minority groups to maintain their cultural identities
- Inform the nursery managers or senior staff of any accident or injury within the nursery
- Inform the nursery managers of any suspicion of nonaccidental injury or child protection issue
- Be aware of the fire evacuation procedure and fire exits
- Comply with health and safety rules within the nursery
- Help keep equipment and play areas in good order
- Assist with cleaning duties, prepare and serve tea for the children (on a rota), taking responsibility with other staff for hygiene and cleanliness

We will help you gain a Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare Qualification through an Apprenticeship where you will work minimum 30 hours per week.
