Essential

  • 5+ years' experience working as a Concept Artist.
  • Proven experience of creating Concept Art via a portfolio.
  • Experience driving the artistic vision for a project and generating new visual ideas.
  • Expert experience with industry standard 2D tools. [Photoshop, Illustrator etc.]
  • Experience managing art quality and consistency across a team of artists.
  • Experience working within a team environment, helping to guide, motivate and improve team capabilities.
  • Experience managing, planning and estimating tasks in a project planning suit.
  • Experience providing clear feedback and mentorship to junior and midlevel Artists.
Desirable

  • Experience with industry standard Game Engines.
  • Experience with industry standard 3D Modelling Tools.
  • Idea generation for new projects.
  • Traditional pipeline of learning through a University environment.
Skills and Abilities

  • Creative Imagination and expert digital art skills.
  • Ensuring Concept Art assets are created to the highest quality.
  • Expert planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise your own workload and meet deadlines.
  • Highly motivated and productive, a selfstarter.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • A creative and logical approach to problemsolving with an end user focus.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • A clear, concise and accurate communicator in all formats.
  • Strong layout and iconography skills
  • Expert knowledge of colour theory, value and contrast.
  • Adapts well to new processes and pipelines and helps to further improve existing ones.
Duties and Tasks

  • Using 2D production tools to create Concept Art assets to meet project requirements.
  • Defining and refining the artist's vision of a game world/project.
  • Building assets to be utilised by our 3D art team for asset production.
  • Leading stand ups and team meetings for communication of project goals.
  • Organising and executing the burn down of the team's art tasks, using Jira and working with the Creative Director and Studio Producer to meet project deadlines.
