A Japanese trading house based in City of London is looking for a Japanese speaking Accounting Administration Manager join their team.

Accounting Administration Manager Main Responsibilities:
Accounting Duties
- Oversee staff work and operation of the Accounts & Administration Department.
- Perform accurate accounting & financing operations in a timely manner.
- Continuously seek improvements on a more streamlined accounting & finance operation.
- Maintain Brokasure & SAGE accounting systems and liaise with the providers for any issues.
- Finance, Control General Cash with time deposits and FX transactions in a timely manner.
- Extract Premium/Commission DATA and Prepare Excel Pivot Tables as required.
- Maintain and reconcile the Client Bank Accounts in accordance with FCA regulations.
- Deal with & oversee year end statutory audit and client money audit (CASS5).
- Produce reports required by the MD (i.e. P&L, BS, Income lists, and others as requested).
- Report annual balance confirmations to the MD.
- Preparing and attending semiannual balance report meetings with the European branch.
- Prepare, file, and post quarterly VAT returns, prepare and post the annual VAT adjustment. Be aware and keep up to date with changes in VAT rules.
- Liaise with external auditors for the preparation, filing, and posting of corporation tax returns.
- Liaise with and maintain professional relationships with external auditors.
- Liaise with and maintain good relationships with Accounting & Finance Depts.
- Liaise, collaborate, and maintain good relationships with group companies.
Supervising/ overseeing Administrative Duties including but not limited to:
- Providing general administrative affairs.
- Maintaining IT assets (PC, Mobile phones etc).
- Providing administrative support for board meetings.
- Booking accommodation and flights for business trips.
- Ordering office supplies/dealing with post.
- Administration of staff corporate cards.
- Maintain WEB sites data.
- Various other administration as required, i.e., checking staff expenses are correctly completed before settlement and filing.
- Have proven experience in a similar role
- Part qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA), or have another relevant qualification in accounting
- Experience of working under FCA regulations
- Fluency in English and Japanese
- Have strong accounting skills and experience (including an understanding of bookkeeping, understanding of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow)
- PC skills (Microsoft office, SAGE)
- Experience in managing monthend and yearend financial reporting processes
- Experience working under FCA regulations and implementing practices that comply with regulations
- Experience in internal and external audit/ risk
- Experience of accountancy work in both Japanese and UK companies would be advantageous
- Previous experience in Insurance Company or Audit experience (managing audits for the company etc) would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills
- Ideally experience of working in insurance industry
