Description
Our client, based in Stratford, is currently recruiting for a Governance Officer on a permanent basis.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The annual salary is £35,000 but they are open to negotiating depending upon experience.

Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Taking a lead role in ensuring the provision of a professional and outstanding secretarial and administrative service to support the activities of Boards for which L&Q provides a service and for the Group's Executive Group meetings
  • Delivering effective arrangements for ensuring forward planning, preparing agendas and board packs, minute taking (for serviced companies and in the absence of the Group Company Secretary) and action tracking.
  • Supporting the Group Company Secretary as directed in serviced company administration statutory and regulatory filings and maintaining corporate records; signing and execution of documents; compliance with standing and financial orders
  • Endorsing the process for selfassessment of compliance with regulatory standards and adopted codes and specifically committee appraisals and effectiveness reviews
  • Ensuring serviced companies remain legally and regulatorily compliant through the identification of new requirements by conducting proactive horizon scanning

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Highly developed administrative skills gained within a Company secretary environment
  • Working collaboratively within a team, manage conflict, interacting with internal and external customers and stakeholders at all levels
  • Essential
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills . Must be able to produce quality minutes and materials
  • Appreciation of organisational compliance
  • Essential
  • Excellent organisation, planning and coordination skills and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Computer literate with a good proven competency in MS Office
  • Essential
  • Degree educated or ICSA qualified
  • Desirable

Working hours:

  • 35 hours per week

  • Fourdays WFH, One day in the office
