Activities and Responsibilities of the Post
Principle Purpose of the role
This post will be supporting the Learning and Development Team develop its online and virtual learning capability across Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies.
You will work with the Blended Learning and Professional Development manager providing administrative support on the design and uploading of virtual content on our Learning Management System (LMS).
You will also support the broader professional learning team through webinar and masterclass support via Microsoft Teams and 365 technology.
Main Activities of the Role- Collate service requests received and bring them to the weekly team meeting. Then appropriately deal with responding to the service requests
- Assist in the management of BiCB accounts
- Assist in the management of College Learn accounts.
- Create monthly team newsletter
- Deal with force order entries
- Upload various content into the LMS system as directed
- Manage LMS events
- Assist with the inhouse mentoring programme in relation to profiles
- Manage the admin in relation to PNC training
- Create data as directed by line management and customer requests
- Set up, take minutes and create action from team meetings
- Assist in training others in areas of knowledge in relation to LMS and MS365 as necessary
- Create Microsoft 'forms' as directed
- Liaise with stakeholders as necessary in support of the LMS and PD projects.
- Any other duties that are commensurate with the role and grade as may be requested by management
It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrate experience of undertaking a range of clerical and administrative tasks in a busy office environment
- Experience of maintaining accurate, up to date databases, and of handling confidential and sensitive information
- Effective planning, organisation and coordinating skills with ability to prioritise workloads and manage several work streams simultaneously
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels, internally/externally, and work collaboratively to build positive working relationships
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, in particular writing statistical reports using Excel
- Ability to work on own initiative whilst also being able to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines ensuring attention to detail and delivery against plans
- Relevant experience of working in a Learning and Development environment
- An understanding of working within a Police environment
- Ability to travel within Norfolk and Suffolk as required
Hours of work are normal office hours on the standard police staff contract (Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:00 with 36 minute rest break and on the flexi-time scheme).

- Whilst the role is normally based at the aforementioned location, you may be required to work at other establishments across both Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies as may be reasonably required. Police Staff Conditions of Service will be adhered to in such instances
