Liverpool Clinical Laboratories wish to appoint a full-time Consultant Thoracic Pathologist based in the Department of Cellular Pathology at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

This post would be attractive to a consultant pathologist with experience in thoracic pathology who wishes to expand and develop their interest and expertise in this challenging and rapidly-developing area in a major centre with an established reputation for excellence in the field.

This post is required to strengthen the existing team in the face of a workload which is inexorably increasing in volume and complexity.

The Thoracic Pathology team at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital provides a service _via _Liverpool University Hospitals and the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and, in collaboration with the North West Genomic Laboratory Hub.

One of the particular strengths of our service is our expertise in the genomic and proteomic profiling of non-small lung cancer in which capacity we enjoy an international reputation as a centre of excellence
