The BDI is an interdisciplinary research Institute focused on data science and quantitative analytical approaches applied to large, complex, biomedical data sets for research into the causes, consequences, prevention and treatment of disease.

The Institute draws together excellence in medicine, engineering, computer science and statistics from a wide range of University departments, with particular strengths in the thematic areas of electronic phenotyping, (gen)omics, machine learning, health data science and clinical translation.

The Institute also has expertise and leading programmes in scientific computing, ethics and training that are integral to its scientific mission.


We are now seeking a motivated individual to take responsibility for coordinating the delivery of a programme of specialist scientific training events at BDI.

You will work with senior academic staff to arrange high-quality training sessions, seminars, small group meetings, workshops and other similar events aligned to BDI research themes.


To be considered, you must be educated to degree level or equivalent experience, have proven experience of developing and delivering a programme of activities, seminars and workshops, strong interpersonal skills and capability and willingness to use your own initiative.

This is a full time, fixed term post (part time considered) for 2 years.
