Full Stack PHP Developer -£35,000-£47,500 DOE - 90% remote Manchester - Tech
My client is a technology scale-up that works with schools all over the country to let out underused facilities.

They place their social mission at the centre of everything they do by making it possible to combat loneliness, boost confidence, and improvephysical and mental well-being; as well as allowing schools to gain much-needed revenue by renting out underutilized facilities.

Their goal is to improve people's outlook on life by opening the opportunity to offer a variety of activities for people of allages to participate in to develop their skills and discover new interests.


The Role


As a full stack PHP Developer, you will be reporting to the Technical Lead; you will contribute to our client's extensive and exciting roadmap, continuously improving their product with new features, as well as carrying out maintenance and bug fixes.


Required Experience:


  • Good level of core PHP ability, including an understanding OOP and SOLID principles
  • Experience working within a PHP MVC framework, ideally with Laravel or another similar framework such as Symfony
  • Some JavaScript knowledge and experience
  • MySQL knowledge, basic schema design, indices
  • You've got a good understanding of Tailwind CSS

Nice to Haves:


  • You favour testdriven development
  • Grasp of performance budgets (or at least what might make code fast/slow)
  • You know how to use
  • You have a familiarity with AWS
  • You've used Metabase before
  • Experience consuming RESTful APIs
  • You've had experience with Statamic or another Laravel based CMS before
