A new opportunity has been created at Daimler Buses UK Ltd for a Credit Controller based at their head office in Coventry.

The Role

Your Main Tasks will include:

  • Checking customer's credit worthiness and approving or denying credit account requests.
  • Actively contacting customers and building good relationships to ensure payment is received within the company payment terms.
  • Escalating unresolved queries to bring to a resolution.
  • Meeting deadlines for producing dunning letters.
  • Starting legal proceedings where necessary.
  • Month end reporting tasks and production of financial information relating to debtors.
  • Responsibility for debtor and creditor intercompany accounts.
  • Working with an eticketing system.
  • Assisting with the quarterly VAT return.
  • Other adhoc tasks as well as deputising for other team members in their absence.

About you

  • A higher level of Accounting or Credit Control Qualification or qualified by experience.
  • CICM qualification would be favourable.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a credit control role.
  • Ability to work independently to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
