We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Lettings Officer to join our team in Cambridge.
As a Lettings Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the letting of Council residential properties.
Your main responsibilities will include assisting tenants during the moving in/out process and maximizing overall rental income.Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manage and coordinate the letting of Council residential properties.
- Act as the primary point of contact for prospective tenants, responding to inquiries and arranging property viewings.
- Assist tenants with the moving in/out process, including conducting property inspections, preparing tenancy agreements, and handling deposit returns.
- Conduct thorough tenant reference checks to ensure suitability and compliance with the relevant policies and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of property listings, rental income, and tenant details.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to address property repairs and maintenance issues promptly.
- Proactively identify opportunities to maximize rental income, such as rental reviews and reletting vacant properties.
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants, addressing their concerns and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in residential lettings or property management is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of relevant housing legislation, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage with tenants and colleagues.
- Exceptional organizational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and software for recordkeeping and data management.
- A proactive and selfmotivated approach, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service and maintaining high standards of professionalism.
