About the team:


The Operations Control and Assurance team are a specialist team, who provide independent assurance across the Operational 1LoD through assurance monitoring, outcomes testing and customer journeys.

The
Senior Operations Control and Assurance Officer reports into the Senior Assurance Development Manager and can be based in Wolverhampton or Chatham.

Occasional travel to other OSB offices in the UK and third party sites may be required.

What you will be doing:

Your responsibilities will include

  • Conducting independent assurance and control testing, in line with approved Risk Assessment Matrices
  • Maintaining the independent assurance and control test scripts for area of responsibility, ensuring these are up to date and reflective of business policies and impacting regulations
  • Regular reporting of independent assurance and control testing outcomes, agreeing corrective action plans with Operational teams for any partial or ineffective controls
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of regulatory expectations and the Bank's Operational Risk and Conduct Risk frameworks
  • Developing and maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship with key stakeholders across the Bank to complete the Ops 1LoD assurance plan
  • Conducting trend analysis using Operational data to identify and agree scope for specific quality assurance reviews
  • Timely identification and clear communication of emerging risks or business threats that could influence the risk profile of Operations 1LoD
  • Supporting assurance related projects

In return for your commitment:

We offer a salary between £32,000 - £38,000 dependent on experience and location in addition to a competitive benefits package


Could you be the one?
We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below:

  • Previous work experience in Operations, quality assurance and/or Operational Risk within Banking/ Financial Services
  • Sound understanding and experience of risk control selfassessment (RCSA) management
  • Strong and current knowledge of Conduct and Operational Risk is essential
  • Ability to undertake thorough risk assessments and summarise the findings
  • Detailed knowledge of quality assurance frameworks and methodologies
