We are looking for a Pressure Technical Trainer to join our growing mechanical engineering team.
The role will provide training in PSSR, Report Writing and Pressure Vessel examinations to new and existing Engineer Surveyors within Bureau Veritas.
Our pressure training school is in Peterborough but ability to travel is essential.Responsibilities include
- Ensure all Pressure new starters are provided with a bespoke training plan and assigned a mentor.
- Deliver classroom training in PSSR, Report Writing and Pressure Vessel Examination to new start Engineer Surveyors.
- Deliver refresher / ongoing classroom training in PSSR, Report Writing and Pressure Vessel Examination to existing Engineer Surveyor Surveyors as and when required.
- Assist with the continual improvement of the competency of the Engineer Surveyors within the discipline.
- Assist the Technical Manager with monitoring the progression of new start Pressure Surveyor Training.
- Prepare the evidence to support the signoff of new start Pressure Surveyors.
- Prepare the evidence to support the award of additional skills to existing Pressure Surveyors / Crossskilled Surveyors from other disciplines.
- Develop training materials and slide packs as relevant to the Pressure discipline.
- Carry out routine field and report audits of Pressure Surveyors as required by the Technical Manager.
- Provide Technical Support to the Surveyor community and internal / external Client
Who we are looking for
You will need a minimum of a HNC in Mechanical Engineering and five years' experience working as a pressure Engineer Surveyor with full pressure skills.
You will have in depth knowledge of pressure systems in-service inspection procedures and processes with full knowledge of relevant regulations.
Good communication skills are essential, including ability to deliver effective classroom training.
