Product Owner

Edinburgh or Glasgow (2 days onsite per week)

6 Month Contract Outside IR35


Our Public Sector client are currently recruiting for a Product Owner to join on a 6 month initial contract, outside of IR35.


In this role, you will:

  • Represent the stakeholders, and have the mandate to prioritise scope (functions/features) on behalf of the team, setting the overall transformation vision and aims for the SCRUM Team
  • Create and maintain a prioritised Product Backlog, ensuring it is visible, transparent and clear
  • Clearly communicate priorities, objectives/goals, mission and acceptance criteria to the Agile Delivery Teams
  • Ensure the Agile Delivery Team members understand items in the Product Backlogs to the level needed and leverage the wider scrum and cross stream forums
  • Communicate progress outside the core Agile Delivery Team to key Judicial and operational influencers and other senior stakeholders as appropriate
  • A demonstrable and evidenced drive to deliver
  • Ability to coordinate, communicate and influence to achieve outcomes within a positive working environment strong stakeholder management skills
  • Take a Value driven approach, with the ability to identify and measure Value, and target delivery towards the achievement of Value

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience of Agile delivery frameworks
  • Coach the Business and Operational areas to create a culture of product and service improvement.
