LIVE-IN / LIVE-OUT HOUSEKEEPER
Housekeeper required for long-term role on a busy, traditional rural estate near Auchterarder, Perthshire, Scotland.

The family of 3 requires someone with relevant experience and attention to details, happy to roll their sleeves up and have a go at all aspects of running a large country house to a high standard, especially when having visitors, dinner and shooting parties

Core duties are:

Daily cleaning, tidying up, dusting, hoovering (including bedrooms and bathrooms), washing up.
Healthy light family cooking. Any extra cooking skills are very welcome, but not strictly necessary.
Laundry & Ironing, including delicate fabrics.
Dog walking and care
Setting alarm system and general security of the house

Additional duties include:

Care of furniture, including antiques
Silver, brass, and wood polishing
Larder management
Formal & informal table setting and serving.
Wardrobe management, including minor repairs.
Flower arranging
Dealing with household contractors and deliveries
Occasional driving / running errands (e.g., shopping, airport /station pickups)
Possibility of including PA duties and/or light gardening

Hours of work

40 hrs per week, flexibility is required which will include some weekend work - extra hours/days worked will be given in lieu.

Benefits include - pension scheme, accommodation if required, all bills met.

Salary £30,000 DOE.
