Job Title:

Inventory Controller


Reports to:

Warehouse Manager


Job Outline:

Oversee product inspection and finalising. Point out operational problems of each department and report to department manager


Key Performance Indicators:

To drive quality through the business by ensuring the highest of industry standards within the warehouse.


Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Including Decision Making, Complexity and Contact with others

  • This is not a definitive list, as the job will evolve in time to reflect other responsibilities._
  • Strip and audit packaged products to ensure the adhere to correct quality standards.
  • Check the process of each department, coordinate the ability of each department, ensure the company's KPI in and out of the warehouse, and supervise the accuracy of the company's process.
  • Follow and develop the Quality checklist to improve the inspection process.
  • Complete tasks assigned by department supervisor. Achieve weekly KPI target set by department manager.
  • Ensure all staff in the company follow SOP to standardize operation.
  • Perform accuracy checks on other functional areas of the department and communicate results in a timely fashion.
  • From the data collected assign by manager, from inspections, quality control inspectors create reports for the quality manager of the company to highlight issues, detail the number of defective products being produced, and explain where improvements can be made.
  • Investigate current processes to identify improvements and costsaving initiatives.
  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reporting ensuring the highest level of accuracy.
  • Other duties may be asked during the peak season.
  • Any other jobs required by manager.

Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Experience required for role:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to keep calm in a pressurized environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills at all levels.
  • Valid Driving License, own transport
  • Experience in training / mentoring operators on Quality requirements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Quality requirements.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Data Analysis knowledge

Salary:
£9.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dunstable, Bedfordshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Warehouse experience: 1 year (preferred)
  • Quality control: 1 year (preferred)

Work authorisation:

  • United Kingdom (preferred)
