Hybrid role - with regular travel required (on average twice a month)
This role will be supporting over 1,800 colleagues across our Management Services Teams.
The purpose of this role is to deliver great colleague communications that drives up engagement and ultimately allows for better service to our customers.
The Colleague Engagement Manager leads on all colleague engagement activity within Management Services, developing the channels and content, and taking responsibility for strategy, delivery and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver an internal communications strategy and plan for Management Services, including concept, sourcing, design, channel strategy, campaign planning and measurement.
- Manage the coordination, organisation and management of events across Management Services including annual kickoff events and other adhoc events outside of team meetings; including working with external suppliers to ensure all events run smoothly.
- Responsible for the weekly and monthly communication channels review and agree content ensuring a consistent tone and voice, and more importantly, ensure that this is engaging and inspiring as well as informative.
- Be the custodian of the Management Services Intranet pages to facilitate a one stop shop of easy to access documents and information.
- Act as a point of contact for the Management Services' Communication Champions to ensure alignment in all communications across Services and specifically providing advice and guidance on intranet content, look and feel and archiving/removal of outofdatematerial.
- Manage the Management Services internal communications calendar, collaborating closely with Group Communications, Marketing, and Customer Engagement.
- Lead on recognition and engagement internally within Management Services.
- Assist and facilitate the setting up and running of focus groups with the functional leads as and when required.
- Run pulse surveys across Management Services for targeted groups and specifically HM/EM monthly temperature checks.
- Identify opportunities for growing internal communications within Management Services and lead on the development and management of new internal communication channels
Knowledge & Experience
- 35 years' experience of working in a Colleague Engagement, Internal Communications, Corporate Communications, media or PR role in a peoplecentric organisation.
- Experience of successfully writing and developing key messages for a varied and dispersed workforce, with strong knowledge and experience of drafting change management communication.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills. Due to the amount of copy the job holder will be expected to contribute, an excellent standard of English is essential.
- Highly organised and planned able to deliver on time and to an excellent standard.
- Creative approach to problem solving and communication ideas, including excellent negotiation, influencing and communication skills across all levels.
- Ensures continuous improvement of internal communications.
