3 X 30 hours a week
1 X 20 hours a week
About the role
We want our residents to lead the lives they wish and to remain as active, independent and happy as possible - and that's where you come in.
If you're good with people and can work individually and as part of a team then you could be a great Care Assistant.
Your role will be to provide person-centred care and support for residents. That includes personal care, mealtimes and engagement through activities, either in groups with shared interests or on an individual basis.
You'll also be there to provide a listening ear to those who need it most.
Every day will be interesting and varied - all our residents are different, from their care needs to their personalities and life experiences.
What you'll do can be inspiring and hugely enjoyable, as you build strong relationships based on understanding, trust and genuine care.
What you'll need
You don't have to have any previous experience, although if you have knowledge of older people and their needs, that's useful.
You should have good reading and writing skills so you can understand and contribute to care plans.
Please note all applicants must already hold the legal right to work in the UK
It is no longer a legal requirement for colleagues to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to work in our care homes.
However, we will continue to encourage everyone who is eligible for the vaccine and booster dose to have it to protect themselves, as well as the residents and colleagues in our home.
West Hall in West Byfleet is home to well trained and helpful staff with rooms for up to 117 residents.
At Anchor, we pride ourselves in providing 24-hour care and specialised services for elderly people, the beauty of our grounds, the quality of our catering and our engaging activities we deliver.
