Community Services are going through a very exciting transformational time come and join us and help shape secondary care mental health psychological provision.


An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic clinical psychologist to join the Cromwell House CMHT team in 37.5 hours a week position.

The post holder will deliver psychological interventions and support a compassionate, recovery focused, and well-functioning team.


You will be offered the opportunity to be trained in EMDR once you have completed a satisfactory 3 month probation period and provided with a high level of supervision to support your practice.


  • To provide appropriate structured psychological interventions to people with severe and/or very complex mental health problems (and their families), many of whom will be suffering with personality disorders and/or psychoses, within the Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs).
  • To harness and support the psychological skills of other team members in the CMHT by providing supervision, teaching, consultation, opportunities for coworking, and active participation in Care Programme Approach and other multidisciplinary forums.
  • To contribute to the provision of rapid psychological assessments of
service-users with complex mental health problems.

  • To provide advice on psychological aspects of risk assessment and positive risk taking.
  • To develop psychological formulations of service users' complex mental health problems so as to aid the team's input and management of these difficulties.
