AM London is an exciting and ambitious retail business based in Old Trafford, Manchester.

We are looking for a Graduate Design Assistant to join our team


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the designers and managers to create and develop original design ideas, concepts, embroideries, fabrications and seasonal themes
  • Sourcing of relevant fabrics to meet the design requirements
  • Creating specs/tech packs for factories
  • Ensuring critical path is adhered to, and keep on top of all key dates
  • Liaising with factories and overseas offices
  • Creating relationships with buyers
  • Participating in inspiration and sourcing trips
  • Trend packs /colour inspiration
  • Managing returns and supporting with team admin
  • Assisting all members of the team
  • Trend/inspo boards

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • A good understanding of Illustrator and/or Photoshop is desirable
  • Creative and trenddriven with a good eye for colour and fabric
  • Attentive to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team player and able to build relationships
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Manage challenges in a calm and positive manner
