Description

The Global Commercial team will lead the commercial management and control of selected international multi-market clients to help build contractually sound and profitable long-term client relationships.

Working as part of the global account management team to build strong relationships with global, regional, and local stakeholders at the client, and within Wavemaker, across GroupM agencies and at a WPP level.


Core responsibilities**:


  • Be the key commercial liaison in the remuneration proposal for significant regional client pitches and follow through to completion and review of client contracts with local / regional / global management, GroupM / WPP as applicable and external legal counsel
  • Work with Global Commercial Director to oversee international contract negotiation, drafting, finalization of all commercial terms and briefing local markets
  • Provide commercial support to Global Commercial Director/AD on a number of international clients
  • Working with Client MPs and Head of Trading to maximize incentive schemes
  • Support diversification of services and advise on appropriate remuneration models
  • Ensure network is updated on client commercial and contract terms
  • Manage contract compliance audits with third party auditors
  • Assist in driving international client growth planning process
  • Review / preparation of quarterly review of rebates and other media income summaries from markets to ensure that sources of income obtained are in compliance with contracts & internal policies
  • Identify opportunities for maximising trading revenue streams with Global Trading Director / Global Finance. Review of client incentives by market to ensure that we are maximising our potential revenues for future years

Person Specification:

- +5 years post qualification experience

  • Financial and client commercial management in a media / advertising environment
  • Regional experience or experience working with different countries
  • Operational / commercial experience, must be able to addvalue, support / enable / facilitate change
  • Collaborative team player, relationship builder with a cando attitude, lots of energy and drive required
  • Fluency in English is required. Additional European languages desirable but not essential
