Tax Compliance Officer
Our client is a Logistics business looking for a Tax Compliance Officer to join their growing team. The business operates across multiple regions and on an international basis. Through expansion across Europe, they are now looking to branch out and havea number of projects.

You will sit within the finance function where you will be ensuring Tax compliance is effective and all in place.

This role was created to join the companies centre of excellence which has been made to ensure the business excels in their compliance and tax procedures.

It's a 3 month contract role with flexible hybrid working in Weybridge.

The Role

Cooperate with other Accounting teams and 3rd party providers to prepare CIT returns, WHT returns, VAT filings for domestic VAT, EC Sales Lists, Intrastats and any other taxes.
Support tax reviews and research of compliance requirements
Assist with CIT & VAT audits
Complete monthly reconciliation of indirect tax accounts
Support Tax Manager (Europe) on ad hoc projects
Perform other duties as assigned
Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are documented and updated
Development of a tax compliance calendar Measures
Compliance with legal compliance requirements
Timely submission of CIT tax and VAT returns Scope
CIT & VAT filing requirements in 20+ European countries
Take part in the wider compliance function by assisting with training, providing management with written reports and other adhoc projects
Provide proactive advice, guidance, direction and interpretation as regards to Compliance issues and develop Compliance relationships across the designated

Skills

Part Qualified ACA, ACCA
Educated to degree level
Relevant VAT and Tax experience
